Committees

The Membership Committee ensures that records and a registry of members and volunteers are maintained, and promotes membership.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for searching for the 411 Seniors' leadership and conduction an election of the Director, if required.

Governance, Constitution & By-Laws Committee ensures that 411 Seniors' activities are in compliance with the Constitution and By-laws and recommends amendments.

The ASC-BC Committee reports to the board, represents the interests of 411 Seniors with ASC-BC, and collaborates with ASC-BC to meet sector community goals.

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for the capital fundraising plan and related capital fundraising activities for 411 Seniors' new centre on Fraser St.

The Research Working Group Committee is responsible for establishing and ensuring that research projects have direct community benefit and impact.

The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing 411 Seniors' financial affairs and recommending changes/modifications as deemed necessary.

The Personnel Committee strategically reviews and recommends on personnel policies, including the role and responsibilities of the Director.

The Editorial Committee is responsible for producing 411 Seniors' monthly newsletter and e-newsletter and ensuring quality of content.

The Seniors Issues Committee is informed by 411's I&R program statistics and experiences, and supports the Director by responding to advocacy issues.

The Program & Special Events Advisory Committee generates ideas for future seniors programming and special events at 411 Seniors.
