Dear Members, Supporters and Friends,
We need your support!
The 411 Seniors Centre is moving to a brand new facility at 19th and Fraser soon. It has taken us more than 10 years to make this a reality.
We are excited about the move, but we need your help. In the past 10 years we have seen delays that have slowed down the construction and, now, major price increases that have depleted our reserves. Every aspect of the new build has cost the 411 Seniors Centre more money. The costs of building materials, especially wood and steel have skyrocketed. Every piece of furniture we need for the new facility is more expensive than it was a year ago. We have been planning for a new kitchen as we know that food costs are rising and are a threat to food security for seniors. As each day passes the costs of stoves, fridges, and even dishes rises.
We are super-excited to announce that between 1 June and 30 September 2022 individuals’ donations will be matched by an anonymous benefactor up to a total of $15,000. The value of your gift will be doubled and we may end up with $30,000. Please consider contributing to the Kickstart the Move campaign. No donation is too large and no donation is too small!
Thanking you for your interest,
Marion Pollack
