The 411 Senior Society is heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded at the Lapu-Lapu Festival in Vancouver on Saturday evening.  We have many Filipino members, to them, we extend our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, and the entire Filipino community.
The Filipino community is a vital and vibrant part of the 411 Senior Society — your strength, compassion, and spirit are woven into the fabric of our society.  We stand with you in grief, and we stand with you in solidarity during this difficult time.

  • This tragedy affects our entire community! It is not terrorism pointed at the Filipino community. Mental health is a silent crisis, and destroys as many lives as fentanyl! This is an epidemic in Vancouver. The scarcity of resources, shortage of psychiatrists, lack of walk-in centres and care providers on top of ERs stretched past capacity…all of these factors mean dangerous people at risk to the community are among us.
